Yesterday we finished painting at the Greek Evangelical Church which was a great challenge given the seering heat of the offices. Most of it ended up on the painters but luckily some landed on the walls!!!
In the evening we took the translators, Diti and Odeta, out to dinner. It was a great time of fellowship and gave us the opportunity to continue builiding relationships with them.
This morning we went to Kids Church at 4 square. Diti lead worship with Sarah and quite a few kids turned up- about 20- a vast improvement on the 3 that were there last week!!
Ali spoke on the Good Samaritan with another Oscar worthy performance from Matt.
In the afternoon we all went to Cuke where Sion lead worship outside the church while several brave members of the team inhaled paint fumes in what was possibly the hottest house in the whole world. There was a mob for clothes and presents as these were given out to the women, but luckily no fights broke out this week!!!
The lads played some footy with a group of Albanian guys. With amazing skills and talent of the Englush (and Diti!) we were able to uphold our nations legacy. Who needs the world Cup?!
